Re: RC: Re: Tevis - Slower riders
Ridecamp is too funny. Why does everybody believe everything as it is
written without checking stuff out for themselves? The Californios 100 was
five weeks before the Tevis and guess what -- two people who top tenned at
Tevis ALSO top tenned the Californios 100. A total of 18 horses completed
the Californios 100, so who determined that finishing 10th place meant that
they rode fast? How do you know that? Were you there? I love how people
criticize and jump to conclusions on subjects of which 1) they know nothing
about and 2) they don't even know the people involved or the type of
experience the people involved have.
Doesn't anybody realize that horses that complete high mileage (as in, over
1000 miles a season) are often doing rides, even 100's fairly close
together. How do you think that mileage adds up? You don't get there by
doing a ride a month.
