I don't shoe my horses, only do trims. It's a LOOOOONNNNGGG drawn
out process because those feet are so dang heavy and my legs just don't
hold up to it. Sometimes I'll just do both fronts one day and the
backs the other. I'm a weenie, OK - it's a lot of work and I do
bless a good shoer.
But not a crummy one. I don't care how many nails get knocked into
the dirt (that's what magnets are for) or the tail in the face - the
horse doesn't know if ihe/she's the first trim/shoeing of the day or the
last. If this was brain surgery, you wouldn't want the surgeon to
do a crummy job just because he'd had a few operations before yours and
he was tired & crabby. Lif
