Re: uh-oh, Insulted Farrier
Professionalism is very hard to come by around here. My vet even told me that I would just have to deal with farriers who didn't return phone calls, showed up late or not at all, threw temper tantrums when asked to explain/consider something you suggest.
Good thing I didn't believe her. It took a while, but by chance I happened to find a wonderful guy who listens, explains, doesn't charge an arm and a leg, and is genuinely concerned for the horse's welfare.
The farrier I used previously pulled a princess temper tantrum. Once. Life is too short, and there are too many good people, to put up with someone who acts like they are paying you.
I like the idea of the child at the pediatrician. Our horses are our partners, and our friends. Why do we let them be treated harshly by ANY service provider?
Just $.02 from a gal who went through many months of struggle and 5 farriers before finding someone she could deal with.
