Oh, phooey. Methionine is an essential amino acid. You might be thinking
of ethoxyquin, a preservative added---there is a huge amount of uproar over
"artificial preservatives" added to feed in miniscule amounts, but believe
me, any undocumented and hysterical claims about it in horse feed is nothing
compared to the hundreds of horses that would be colicking and foundering
due to moldy feed if it weren't in there. I'm not getting bitchy here, but
look at the big picture, people, and don't get sucked in by the Terrorist
Nutritionists.
