I have no experience with TBs as endurance horses, but I remember a comment
from Matthew Mackay-Smith, many years ago....TBs have both fast and slow
twich muscle and are capable of making good endurance horses, but "a
Thoroughbred's cross to bear is his feet". In other words, MM-S felt that
TB's feet were of poor quality and inclined to fail holding up to endurance
work.
