I don't use Quest for internally worming.
But 2 years ago we had a very wet cool spring, and it upset
the delicate balance of flaura & fauna. Many many horses
in the NE had a condition under the mane, which caused
itching and the mane to be rubbed or start to fall out.
We went crazy trying to figure out how to stop it.
(alot of people sent alot of Vet $$ trying to stop it)
I talked to the Barn Manager of a NH horse farm, who told me
to use Quest wormer and rub it into the skin at the base
of the mane (and to wear rubber gloves). They found the
condition to be some sort of mite, that was killed by QUEST
as it was absorbed into the skin (it worked).
He said no other paste wormer (drug class) would kill them
topically.
I knew Quest was a different drug class, but wow.
