When you get your ride entry it says "All Horses or Mules must have hoof 
protection".  They in fact suggest using other protection if your horse maybe 
tender footed or prone to stone brusing.  So if someone has done the Tevis 
barefooted it might have been years ago.  Anyone know of who?
