I had the pleasure of meeting Bette and Hal today when he was in Solvang for 
his date with the Phantom <bg>  Actually I met Bette yesterday when I went to 
my trainer's to check on my 2 year old -- Who walks up, but Bette from 
Ridecamp.  Small world, eh?  We had already made a plan to meet for lunch the 
following day and for me to watch the "deed" while Hal was collected (is that 
the right terminology?)  Anyway, we met the next day and went over to the 
vet's place to meet Hal. He is as nice as Bette says he is!  :)  Gorgeous, 
big boy with nice manners (likes his carrotts quite a bit too).  He was even 
nice to the breeding "Phantom".  Quite the education watching that process, 
let me tell you.  I'm not even a smoker, but I wanted a cigarette after THAT! 
 ;)
