Re: RC: help with poor trailerer

Hi Mary
I was about to write Carolyn the same advice. Great minds....<BG>
Halynov hates my 2 horse trailer so much he kicked the top door right
off its hinges once--- and that trailer was made for race thoroughbreds!
How he did it, I'll never know!
I believe horses can be just as claustrophobic as people. When I figure
out how to get him on my couch, perhaps I can cure him. In the meantime,
he rides very well loose in my 4 horse stock trailer. Oh in answer to
the age old question on ridecamp as to how horses prefer to be hauled,
e.g.. backwards vs. forwards, slant vs. straight... for what it's worth,
I just got back from hauling Hal to the vet to have his semen frozen. I
noticed his silhouette in the rear view mirror. He was standing on the
driver's side, facing straight backwards, looking out the window, close
to the wall. One stallion's opinion!
Good luck with your horse, Carolyn
