New Rides in Wyoming
Just this summer, the Wally Tolman family is putting on three new rides
near Otto, Wyoming and have taken over the management of the Big Horn
100. The first ride was in May and I missed that one. Last Saturday,
June 24, I was able to do the Red Hills ride near Otto. I would really
like to see more riders come to these new rides. There were only 5
riders in the 25 miler and three in the 50. Montana and Wyoming have
very few rides now, and it is great to see the Tolman's working hard and
putting on a good ride.We need to support the few rides in our region.
June 24 was hot and the ride started at 5am, which helped a lot. The
trails were excellent, good footing, not too difficult and varying
terrain. I was starting a new four year old and it was an excellent ride
for my beginner. I really want to thank the Tolmans for doing a fine
job and wish them well in the future. If you are not riding the Tevis,
you should come to the Big Horn 100. It is challenging and through some
of the most beautiful county in the Mountain Region. Dorothy Sue
