Corn Syrup

Out of curiosity why doesn't anyone use corn Syrup when mixing down paste 
substances that you have to make up?? as in lytes and medicines?
I have seen alot of people post that they may use a different substance to 
mix with such as most recent honey?
Is there something I missed about the corn Syrup??? I have mixxed asprin to 
corn syrup. Does it contain something that can hinder my horse if I had 
premix?

Ansata (mmmm never tried it?)
Haley (goes great with bayer asprin)
