Hi Shelly  -

I agree, it seems to be shaping up as a tough year (spring, at least) for
hay. Here's hoping that summer will be more conducive for forage production.
I have been buying hay exclusively for the last 11 years from the same
producer. They use both forced hot air and preservative on the hay,
whichever is needed. I have never known salt on the bales to work. Let's all
pray for better haying weather, it's tough enough to make the good stuff as
it is!
