    Okay.
     Amblin'...
     I got the term from one of the first (and the last living until three 
weeks ago) Big R Judges in the Arabian world who goes back to some of the 
first and finest importations of Crabbet Arabian horses and who judged the 
National Championship for the Five Gaited Class (back when "ambling" was a 
recognized gait in the Arabian world.)
     And, the trot is a two beat diagonal gait, period.
     But, I understand pet peeves, too.
