Angie- Well I dont think 1 - 2 tbls of maalox would coat a horses
stomach. But I use about 15 to 30 cc per vc. A biggie team uses 1/2 cup
per vc. like in lots.

I thought the issue would be with the Mag level. It is one of the
ingredients. 

However, based on conversation with a few 'experts' there is not enough
to throw the Mg off. - With small does like we use.

However KER Neigh Lox has NO Mg. It was designed that way- so you can
feed LOTS of it to control the HCL  without worry about a Mg balance
problem.


Some other brands use sodium bicarb, now it is not much also  and will
not push a horse into deep alkhodoyis, it will be neutralized in the
stomach acid before it gets absorbed.. and that is the same idea with
the Mag Hyperxxxx?? dont a have  bottle here

In either case it should not matter. 
I was feeding more then normal at this run.
appears all was ok  at the slow pace.

Omni sure does like the elites mixed with the baby food carrots. It does
taste better then applesauce.


I would like to have seen a fixed hold also  with no VC.. good idea, or
at least a PR gate and go- talk about pit crew racing - that would be
like the old days ..

I hope to have a bucket of Neigh Lox by the Summer Breeze Ride in july 
HOT  HA?

If not I will use the Maalox as I have been doing.
