I'm new at all of this and just wanted to say hello, plus computers are a
complete baffle to me. Am looking forward to getting new information from
all of you out there in cyberland.
I'd also like to give a big THANKS to my riding friends, Peggy, Cathy and
Paula. Its because of them I got started in this new sport and they have
been very helpful and suportive. >>
Hi....whoever you are :-)....what's your name? That'd be a good place to
start when introducing yourself, don't you think? okay...sorry, I'm just
giving you a hard time. My name is Renee, and I'm sort of the "kid" on
ridecamp. I've been hanging out on the list and trying my best to make smart
ass remarks for about 6 months (maybe more...maybe less...time flies). I
have definitely learned A LOT! I've been into endurance riding for a while,
but I've only done two LD rides. Before that, I learned lots by volunteering
at rides (vet sec, P&R's......pretty much a slave...but hey, it's fun.). My
first ride was last July on my old horse Mister Drifter....I ended up selling
him shortly afterwards because he was having a few lameness problems show up
and he just wasn't up for this whole endurance thang anymore (he had done
around 1400 miles in his earlier days...a few multidays, Tevis, and some 50
miler wins....anyways...that's not really the point)....my second ride I did
just last weekend on my new mare, Soul's Serenade. Before I bought her, I
rode her for about 6 months (I just exercised her for her owner for the first
3 months and then I leased her for the next 3). Her owner decided I was
worthy of owning her and he sold her to me. So, I feel like this is going to
be the year I've been waiting for, for a long time.....my horse and I are
going to make some things happen....or at least we're gonna try!
Sooo, tell us more about yourself and your horse(s)....I'd love to hear it!
