Re: RC: Re: Breeds
I bred registered Welsh Ponies for years, very carefully choosing my breeding stock by not only conformation but disposition. We should our stock usually as green(?) broke 4 year olds for a price some people thought was asburb but we guarnteed our ponies to be child safe when we broke them. (our green broke was not the usual green broke but already started in the hunter ring.) In 18 years we had two ponies returned that were not of my breeding but ones taken in trade. I believe in being able to breed disposition in the ponies. Oh, most people that bought my ponies were able to get their money back plus a considerable amount more when their children outgrew their ponies. I have, also, given ponies away to children trying to promote their use in endurance.
