Several years ago, I read in a photo  magazine that film canisters have
silver residue in them and so are not safe for food - I'm sure there's
lots of other nasties in them too since they aren't manufactured with
food in mind.  I'm sure all of us have plenty of Advil bottles we could
re-use instead!
