I suggest you try Brown Ranch in Pleasanton.  This is a breeding and
boarding facility with extensive pasture, about 1800 acres if I recall
correctly.  I boarded my filly there from the time she was weaned until she
was old enough to go into a pasture with adult horses and was pleased with
the socialization she received.
And the ranch is close to the 580 freeway, making it easy to visit as much
as you like.
