RE: What foot gear do you ride in?
My farrier had just that happen to her when she was starting out many years
ago. She now wears fiberglass toed boots instead!
I wear Ariats, myself. Like the quality of the Performance Pros (the
waterproof ones), but found them very difficult to break in (massive heal
blisters- now finally broken-in after six months). The Performance model is
also excellent, and easier to break in, though not waterproof, nor quite as
durable.

Careful with that - if the horse ever steps on those steel toes hard on a
hard surface, they will fold over on top of your toes, and they'll be in
there with a hacksaw trying to cut you out of them. Not a fun picture.
