Wow, now I KNOW I dont want to live in Florida!  You guys are either on
fire, flooded or being blown off the map!  I'll take our little earth
shakers any day.  How come it isnt ride season there?  Our ride season is
pretty much all year long.  It gets light riding here in So. Ca. during july
and aug. our hottest months, so , we just load up and ride in northern Ca.

I can name one time when other countries stepped in to help us.  In
1998, when Florida was burning and entire counties were being evacuated,
we had Canadian and RUSSIAN firefighters and equipment, as well as
firefighters from all over the US (and possibly others; I was busy
evacuating).  It was a new experience for many, as apparently green
stuff doesn't burn anywhere else.  Those of us in Florida have not
forgotten that NO human lives were lost, and the heroes that put
themselves between the fires and our homes.  If we don't get some rain
soon, we may need them again.  Of course, if we do get rain, it will
probably be a hurricane and we will have to evacuate anyway.  At least
it's not ride season!
