Details / Highjacking the Trails / Funding the Good Fight
Thank you for your responses, and for walking me through email protocol;
I am new to all this "new-fangled" internet stuff, and I guess it shows!
Anyway, I appreciate your input.
Now, that you have so bravely responded to my (our) plea, I will go into
more detail:
The area in question is Oroville, which is in Northern California. The
ride is the Lake Oroville Vista. The groups attempting to run us out
are the local Parks Dept., and at least two of the local State Rangers.
(We have this in writing.) Did any of you hear of the Amercian River
fiasco this year? We are attempting to keep that from happening, along
with the overt disaster of losing the trail completely. These negative
efforts are backed by a large biking group, of which I am sorry to say my
family and myself are affiliated with in different capacities. I love to
bike, and share trails with the bikers, but I don't want to lose my equestrian trails. The first trail project of which I speak is shared by all now, and happily; we just don't want it paved, which causes removal of
the horses 100% of the time, lose of our endurance ride, etc. WE HAVE
ALL THE DOCUMENTATION TO BACK UP ALL THIS STATEMENTS. Anyway, you have
hit on a volcano. If you have anymore questions, please email me again,
or for a truly enlightened conversation on this, you can call one of the
worker-bees in our group at 1-800-307-3161. Ask for Bob. He lays out
the details better than I, although I will do my best to field all other
questions, GLADLY!
Remember, American River ride problems started like this, as did Tevis at Squaw Valley, Marin County, CA, etc., etc., etc!
Thank you!
