Re: information on sarcoids
I am also interested in this thread...my daughter's gelding has a couple of
spots like Kathy described. They are not enlarged or bumpy, just bare
spots (quarter sized) with little or no hair. Our stallion, however, has 5
small "bumps" on various points (butt and neck and I think one on his
shoulder) that I have been told are melanomas that occur as a result of his
greying out. None of our other horses (and we have 4 other greys) have
anything like this and I have never had any other horses that have. I know
there are sarcomas and sarcoids and melanomas, etc. How do we know which
are which and what we should do (or not do) about them?? Thanks in advance
for ridecamper wisdom and information!!
