Hi Suzanne!
There is really no mysterious benefit to iodized salt (it's just salt with
trace amounts of iodine added). Iodized salt basically became a means of
supplementing the human diet as iodine deficiency was a fairly common
problem world-wide (still is in many areas). So, unless your feed has
iodine deficiencies... your horse probably won't notice the difference at
all. If non-iodized is cheaper... I'd say go with it.
