RE:Lameness.....

We purchased a 9 yrold TB gelding, whom had been raced at 3,4,6.....
purchase was from an auction barn but not during an auction.....
Got him home and he go really sore on his left side esp his left front,  vet 
said to put shoes on him see how he goes......did that, is not nearly as bad, 
but still touchy on the front lt.   He will run and be foolish in the paddock 
....vet  said to work him at a walk light trot for the next 4 weeks and see 
how he gets.......haven't had much success because of all the rain we have 
had the last few weeks........also have usedVenise turpentine on his 
feet...to try to tuffin the sole up....
Any input would be appreciated!!!!
