I'm fairly new to participating in this sport (helped at my cousin's
ride and other rides for a few years before I had a horse to ride). It
doesn't surprize me when a vet or lay judge take more interest in me or
my horse especially when they've never seen either of us before. I
appreciate the extra interest even when it becomes scrutiny. What's the
big deal? Do you really think that vets and judges have the time and
energy to have it "in for" a rider/horse?

Good God, it's only distance riding.
