Pam, email me privately and I will tell you what I did with Bay and EPM.  Treatment has changed since he had it, he should have died, he lived, and went on to get his 2000 mile award in MI.  He is 18 now, still hot to trot, still fun to ride, and each day I have with him is a blessing.  Jeanie  jcmiller@jackpine.com
