I can relate to that! Steve is a former farrier...quit shortly before we
got married because he wanted to make more money...he went into sales. For
several years he was shoeing our horses but it was like pulling teeth to
get them done. He'd go out of town during the week and then come home,
shoe a horse, mow the yard (grass around the house), wash his clothes, and
then leave again. It got to where he didn't really want to know which
horse needed shoes -- so I'd have to leave him notes in weird places and
not even talk about it. I finally went out and found another farrier. At
first he objected to the expense, but that didn't last long. He realized
very quickly that it was much nicer to pay someone else at this
point...especially considering how difficult it is to do if you don't do it
all of the time.
