OK, but I don't want these organisms in my house!!  :)  I am willing to
even relocate them to bat houses...just not in MY house!  :)  This is not a
few bats....this is a colony that has been in existence for years and I
think we are looking at not just several hundred but maybe a few thousand! 
It was sort of disconcerting when we first started telling people in the
area where we had moved to....I can't count how many identified it as "Oh,
yeah, the place with the bats!"

Thank God...about the one offspring thing!

I am relieved to hear this.  We have a few that visit us from time to time
in the house during the summer but I would still prefer they find their own
house.  I don't think I can afford to build one big enough to house all of
these!  One of those little dinky bat houses that you can buy at Wal Mart
or wherever I have seen them, won't make a bit of difference.  

I have never seen a problem around the horses but have been concerned about
the rabies thing...thanks for the info!
