Re: RC:  grass to grasseer
We spend one summer in Utah where the were on only hay and when we
returned to FL I had the same concern. 
I talked with my vet about it when we got a home and her advice was to
reintrodcue them slowly. If you can keep them up eating hay most of the
day at the beginning. Say start with two hours a day on pasture,
increasing it daily spreading the introduction out over two weeks or so.
