Hi Folks: If anyone believes that the state parks will "Take care of
their own" you have not had many adverse encounters with the CA state park as
a agency. I suggest that you contact your elected representatives

I agree, having a terrible time several years ago with the new State Park
camping reservation system.  Once you make a reservation at a state horse
camp-better not try to cancel it!!  They WON't refund, and in addition
charge a extra cancellation fee!  The reservation people do not have all
the information on how many rigs; horses per camp-site permitted, so you can
  and will get conflicting information
from the local park personnel and the reservation people. Even if THEY
  give
you the wrong informaton-NO refunds!  Thanks goodness for private
horse camps, and landowners that will permit endurance ride staging!
