I take this to mean the post-ride check is mandatory, RO pull or not. That
is how we do it at all our rides here (actually had a vet drive over to a
guy's house to check his horse once, when he went home from the course!) >>
Good point, Terre. The verbiage of that particular rule had gotten by
me--but you're darn sure right--it's already "in there!" I know in many
cases we've checked out RO horses hours after the fact, in situations where
there has had to be a major expenditure of energy and manpower to get
seriously injured or ill riders to suitable medical help, but we've always
tried to make sure that we DO ascertain that their horses are ok before they
leave the ride site. Just makes good sense, in view of this sport's goal of
protecting the horses.
