Is there some competitive sport that doesn't publish the information about who won & who didn't win?  Is there shame in not winning the Wimbledon?  Or not finishing in the first few places of the Kentucky Derby or Ididerod? - or maybe not getting much beyond the start line? 

A horse that doesn't finish the Breeders Cup is analyzed in detail
publicly & no one thinks twice about it.  Heck, they even make
movies about the "also rans" and "couldn't run" in
some sports.  Why should it be any kind of a big deal that full
disclosure is made in endurance?  Personally, if I was an
"outsider" and this information wasn't published, I'd begin to
wonder what was being hidden - and why.  Lif
