Hi Tina!
I had such a big horn, and found it to be quite useful on a number of horses. 
 The seat is miserable, no other word for it, but you can help that some with 
a seatsaver. 
I liked the rigging, myself, and found a neoprene or string girth works well. 
No luck whatsoever with the felt girths, seem to get rubs from them.
