I've made several batches of them.  The horses love them.  On training 
rides.  :+))) (and at home)

But once we got to a ride.....forget it.  They would sometimes eat them 
overnight during a multiday if I put them in their buckets - but heck, it's 
easier to mix in plain old electrolytes in their feed....they eat that 
too.  But not during the ride (at vet checks).  No way, no how.

Plus, I decided it wasn't really worth it when I saw how many horses were 
choking on them.  :((
