Re: CHOKE???
hi all,
in the olden days (70s) when i managed a thoroughbred farm, i had a lay up
come in with a choke. we kept her in a grass pen and fed soaked pellets in
a gooey mash. pretty sure we also had her on anti-inflammatories, but don't
remember about antibiotics. the vet cautioned that it takes a loooooong
time for the tissues to get back to normal and the more the filly choked the
more she'd have a tendency to have other chokes. she did well on the grass
and mush's and returned successfully to racing. good luck! jm
