        I have a stock trailer with the big back door and always load by
myself.  To keep it open I use a bungie cord, attach one end to the door
near the latch and attach the other end of the bungie cord just around the
side of the trailer where the door hinges are.  Leave it in place, it acts
like a spring and will keep the door open on most days.  When it is really
windy I have to anchor one end further up the side of the trailer ( I just
hook it onto the spare tire which is mounted on the side of the trailer in
the middle).   This has worked for two years with no problems, I do keep a
spare bungie cord in the tack box - just in case.
