slant loads
In regard to our reverse floor plan in our three horse slant load Featherlite
Trailer, when we reversed the directions the horses face, it does mean more
of the horses weight is on the banked side of the road. However, in changing
the direction the horses face, it also reversed the tack room configuration
so that the tack room is narrower at the door side (curb side) and widens as
you go toward the back. (highway side) Therefore, we hang the spare tires,
the bales of hay and sacks of oats on the back side.and the empty buckets,
lightweight stuff nearer the door or curb side.. So far we have managed to
stay upright, but as does everybody else whoever hauls horses, regardless of
how the horses are situated, we worry a lot. It goes with the territory.
