The thread on color genetics fascinates me. Of course, raising mini lops (which allows just about any color and surprises me with every litter) has totally bewildered me and so I am "color genetics illiterate" so to speak! :) In turning our latest addition out with mom today, we discovered with delight that she is gaited...so gaited, she is better than her mother (a foxtrotter). And I can PROVE that this is endurance related because Nelson has decided she will be his endurance horse when he is too crippled to ride Malik! Haha So anyone care to share any info about genetics and gaits? I don't know if this filly will foxtrot or what but it looks GREAT! It was so obvious from the minute we let her out and only improves as she moves!! What a blessed week we've had for foaling!! :) And thanks, folks, for letting us share with you and not getting on our case...:) Maggie Mieske Mieske's Silver Lining 10601 S. Richards Rd.
