I was raised in the oil fields of Huntington Beach, CA.  The oil workers and
roughnecks do work hard, but,  they are payed extremely well.  Hell, the
lowly office clerk was paid quite well.  I worked for a crane and trucking
company that also did work for Chevron, Mobile, Shell, Aminoil, and Texaco.
Quite a few of my friends were working for oil companies.  They ALL had
there own homes, if not more than one, drove great vehicles and had lots of
fancy toys.  I have a hard time trying to swallow the part about the lowly
oil field hand.   gesa
