Dance Line
Howard, sounds like you're finally learning what's really at the heart
of this sport - not training and potions and electrolytes and shoes and
heart rate monitors - it's common sense and often being very
conservative - not going out to run with the big dogs or beat Angie on a
loop or anything like that.
That's why we all creamed you when you
ragged on the vets - not because we wanted to (okay, maybe we liked it a
little <g>) - but to impress upon you that when the train wrecks in this
sport it *really* wrecks. It's just a damn shame Dance Line (or any
horse) had to bear the brunt of the lesson you just got.
I hope Dance didn't have to pay too dearly for what you've learned -
thanks for sharing it with us so all of us can be reminded of it without
hopefully ever having to experience it.
Awaiting the rest of your story and hoping it ends well for Dance,
Tina
