Dance Line
You guys are just too much! I can't believe the response I'm getting here.
I know I'm being a bit sadistic, letting you hang with this, and to be
perfectly honest with you that's kind of my intention. Don't think that this
can't happen to you and your horse, that you are too careful, too smart.
Please don't think that. And if you really do believe that this only happens
to others, read my story again, because this one is true.
I will let you know very soon how it turns out. My goal here is to make you
think, just a bit, what our sport is all about. Remember my Liberty Run
story, where I slammed the vets? Well, I was wrong. Very wrong. And those
of you who pointed that out to me, I apologize for arguing with you. One of
the vets I slammed in my story is the one who worked on Dance. And this guy
climbed a tree, not once, not twice, but over 4 times to hook up, change, or
work on the IV bottles. And it was not an easy task for him to do this,
although Nina offering him her shoulders as a ladder was something you don't
see everyday.
My goal here is to get you to think. To really think about you and your
horse. If there is any doubts, any, as to pull your horse during a ride,
then pull your horse. Let him live another day to ride for you and with you.
Please bear with me. I will finish it as soon as I can. If I tell any one
of you if he's doing OK, I have to tell all of you and then there's no point
in me even writing the story. So, please don't be mad. I'll try and make
this story a short one so you'll know soon enough.
cya,
Howard
