Yes, I'm sure this enters into it a lot. It IS a bit of a shock to see a
$100/up price tag on a shoeing job (mostly for event horses, dressage, etc.)
My daughter charges a little bit less than the average going price for saddle
horses primarily out of the goodness of her heart...for us, because we're
family, for others...because they're neighbors.
And she's not really trying to make a living off of her craft. She's very
interested in learning. Like riding horses, the more kinds you deal with,
the more you learn.
