I was going to stay quiet on this issue but here goes.You should never be 
afraid to ask any farrier why they are doing something or with what.I try to 
be very understanding and talk a great deal to my clients.Sometimes a little 
too much ! LOL The problem you run into with people that get bowed up when 
you ask them questions are one that generally don't know the answer.Which the 
only thing worse than not knowing is not recognizing you don't and won't 
admit or find out.My self I give my opinion if they want something else I do 
it. After all its there horse and they are paying the bill.The exception to 
that is if I feel it will be a danger to horse or rider.Just my thoughts. RD
