You folks are getting an OOF ("Out Of Office" reply), and I will get when this guy's mail server gets this piece of email. It's set on the guy's mail server, and it would be a security hole if someone else could logon and change his settings and read his mail while he's gone. The guy *might* give his assistant his email password, but it's unlikely in a corporation. I can definitely say it's NOT a virus and it's not meant to be spam mail... Just be glad the Steph setup RC so that the OOF doesn't get broadcast to everyone for every message sent. I have seen this happen at my workplace. It was called "Bedlam 1.0" when that happened, and they made t-shirts about it. ;-) Made all of my company's mail servers worldwide very, very unhappy. m (aka Michelle Rowe, software programmer at large) Colorado http://www.redwrench.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Liz Newfield" <lizfield@jeffnet.org> To: <ridecamp@endurance.net> Sent: Thursday, March 16, 2000 7:54 AM Subject: RC: Vacation Message > Sounds like someone on Ridecamp set up their email program (Outlook does > this) to respond to all emails with a message -- this one that they are on > vacation. I would suggest contact the "assistant" cited in the email and > asking her to fix it.
