When you (or anyone) gets to feeling this way---sometimes it is a case of
PLOM-itis---that it what they jokingly called it when I worked in
psychiatry----P-oor, L-ittle, O-ld M-e -- PLOM-itis.   I know I suffer from
PLOM-itis now and then.
