well, even though I am "just a kid" and I have limited intelligence at this 
point in my life...I still have an opinion (natural endurance rider, eh?)
And, I would say that it depends on the horse.  Without knowing what kind of 
shape he is in, it seems like there would be no way to know.  My friend gave 
her horse 3 weeks off after Tevis while another Tevis finisher I know, did a 
50 just a few weeks later.  So, I think the person you really have to ask is 
yourself...you should know if your horse can do it...and if you have 
doubts..maybe you should hold off.  Again, that's just my opinion....I don't 
even listen to it sometimes....
