How long have you been adding the beet pulp?  When I started
giving it to my mare she wasn't all that thrilled about it.
I added 1/2 cup of oatmeal (regular quick cook Quaker brand)
and a heaping tablespoon of molasses to the mix (along with
apple and carrots) and she liked it better.  She seems to
have acquired a taste for it now (after 3 months) and scarfs
it down with or without the oatmeal or molasses.
