Hi Maggie
Just a note to say please please be very careful about putting opthalmic
drops with any type of steroid, e.g., cortizone, in any horse's eye
unless you know for sure there is no scratch or abrasion involved. They
work great unless there is a scratch, then the eyes can literally melt
in an incredibly short period of time (couple of days). I've seen
numerous horses lose an eye by doing this. It's actually safer if both
eyes are inflamed since that usually means flies or allergies which
respond really well. Just a quick check by you or your vet with a stain
can save an awful lot of grief.
