I need some recommendations from you Ridecampers. My horse is with a trainer in San Diego County (east of Alpine) and I'd originally planned to bring him home to Tucson in another month or so and get him on a couple of LD rides. But, he's doing so well with the trainer, I'm going to leave him there for a while instead. Here's the thing: Since my horse won't be HERE to do an LD or two in February or March, I'd like to go to HIM and do a couple of rides in that area. Can anyone recommend a couple of LD rides that would be suitable for a five year-old Morgan stallion's first couple of outings? We'll obviously be going very slow, but in some ways a I'd actually prefer a little tougher trail to keep his mind on business and off all the hubbub. Thanks much!
