After supper, we'd sit around the fire, the old folks'd spit and chew.  Pa
would talk about the farm and the war and Granny'd sing a ballad or two. 
And I'd sit and listen and watch the fire til the cobwebs filled my head.
Next thing I know I'd wake up in the morning in the middle of the old

fishin with my uncle, wrestled with my cousin, I even kissed Aunt

said, I'd trade em all plus the gal down the road for Grandma's feather
bed, yeah, I'd trade em aaaallllll.... (pensive pause during which he says

I think the first verse is "every month end or so"...the live in concert
album is also my first and favorite.  And to keep this endurance
related...this is one of the best songs ever for sprucing up a tired (or
bored) horse out on trail!!!  A must have and must learn for every
endurance rider and singing badly is a plus!!  :)  G' night, ya all!
